3D Printing

3D Modeling & Printing

When doing the knight piece, I started with the base. The first mistake that I made was not closing the top part of the base, causing it to not close on the top.

I eventually found out how to close up the base. I also noted that it was important to trim the excess to order to offset the sketch.

Another point I noted was that, for the sketch to revolve, the sketch must be closed and not opened.

This was my reference photo, accompanied by my chess piece getting 3D printed.

The second mistake I made was to not add a manual support on Cura. Because of this, when printing the head of the horse, there is no support causing it to not stay in place. With this in mind, I will research more on how to apply a manual support so this does not happen in the future.

My solution to my mistake was just to take a pair of tweezers and take away the excess.
